The Castle Museum of Belesta
The Château-Musée de Bélesta is a museum of prehistory in the Pyrénées-Orientales department. Based on the collections from the archaeological site of the Bélesta cave, you will discover an exhibition of these discoveries presented in a playful way in the old medieval castle of the village. The Tautavel Prehistory Museum

The Castillet
The Castillet, emblem of the city of Perpignan, is the old main gate of the Perpignan wall. The main body of the building, the large Castillet, built in bricks and Baixas marble dates back to the Aragonese period. It was built from 1368 and transformed under Louis XI who added its current terrace and its brick turret crowned with a dome. The second gate, the Notre-Dame gate, was built at the same time. In the 17th and 18th centuries the building was transformed into a prison. It currently houses the Casa Pairal museum on local history and ethnography. 142 steps must be climbed to reach the top of the monument.
