In a setting steeped in Catalan history, 25 minutes from Perpignan, the Domaine Riberach has given a second life to the former Cooperative Wine Cellar of BÉLESTA. This place, which used to host the village's grape harvest, now houses a wine-making cellar and a quality ecolodge.
By mixing history and design, industrial and natural, the architects/owners of the estate have remodelled this "cathedral of wine" in a loft style whilst keeping its identity.
Located at the foot of the medieval castle, the Domaine Riberach is surrounded by vineyards and Mediterranean vegetation ... enough to satisfy those who are passionate about history, lovers of landscapes and epicureans eager for culinary experiences.
In the heart of the Pyrenees-Orientales, a Domain which has taken its territory to heart, a Slow Life philosophy, a motto: the praise of slowness"...
Respect for the environment has been the guiding principle in the design of the estate, from the vineyard to the hotel, from the architectural choices to the small daily gestures. Together, every day, we develop our environmental ethics by promoting responsible eco-tourism.
" Our experience of more than 25 years in the field of architecture has enabled us to put into practice, in this very personal project, our knowledge, our philosophy and our life's commitments...
In Bélesta, the creation of the Riberach wine estate and Hotel-Restaurant is first and foremost the writing of a new page in the centuries-old history of this small village in the Pyrenean foothills. We have worked on this industrial ruins in a way that respects, awakens and revitalises the soul of this old building, a cathedral of wine and an emblem of a wine-producing past that is now history: an architectural and sensory revamping in the style of an eco-responsible loft.
